Description
Advances in purification and stabilization have made it possible to supplement with pure R-lipoic acid, the form found naturally in plants and animals and effectively used by the body. RLA is the only form that functions as a cofactor for mitochondrial enzymes. When RLA is taken orally as the potassium salt (K-RALA), solubility is increased, absorption and bioavailibility are greatly improved.
