Description
Phosphatidylserine from Cardiovascular Research is a nutritional supplement that promotes cognitive health. The supplement contains phospholipids, which are found in cell membranes of the human body, especially in the brain. They play an important role in cell cycle signaling, specifically in relationship to apoptosis.
Clinical research suggests that phosphatidylserine may be beneficial in cognitive function by supporting levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine already within the normal range.
Phosphatidylserine is an amino acid derivative that is fat-soluble. It is also found in fish and may promote memory retention in the elderly and help to regulate Cortisol levels already in the normal range. It may also help keep cells intact, and move nutrients throughout the cells.
