Black currant seed oil supports joint health, immune function and premenstrual comfort. It contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA).

Gamma linolenic acid is a fatty substance found in various plant seed oils such as blackcurrant (Rubaceae).

GLA has multiple physiological roles. It promotes joint health by relieving stiffness through promoting cytokine activity (cell signalling through small proteins) and consequently allowing freedom of movement.

Immune system also gets a boost through black current seed oil as GLA promotes healthy prostaglandin production.
